SINGAPORE HOUSING TERMS:
1. "3+1" means 3 bedrooms and 1 maid's or store room usually.
2. "3+1+1" means 3 bedrooms and a study room (without closets) and a
maid's or store room usually.
All rents quoted in Singapore Dollars and rents are payable monthly. Use Currency converter
3. "$4,000 p/f" means $4,000 monthly rent in Singapore Dollars, for a
partially furnished apartment. Rent is negotiable. Get a good realtor to help you.
4. "Partially furnished" means that the Landlord provides a washing machine,
dryer, refrigerator, curtains, lighting to all rooms and air conditioning. No
living, dining or bedroom sets.
5. "Fully furnished" includes living, dining and bedroom sets.
6. Penthouse usually refer to the topmost apartment. Some may be bigger and have
roof terraces or pool.
7. Maisonettes refer to two-level apartments.
8. Townhouses refer to intermediate terrace houses.
9. Bungalows refer to detached houses, i.e. without common walls between two
families unlike semi-detached houses.
