^{The Jack Russell is only 4 months old.  It is an extremely active puppy and sometimes encounters all sorts of injuries. "What happens if I do not seek veterinary treatment?" asked the two lady owners.  Most likely the licking of the right hand paw near the first pad will continue till the area becomes very raw. Later it becomes black and hyperpigmented, like a thick crocodile skin! It was chewing the legs of the wooden table and might have wooden splinters caught in its right hind pad.  No human beings will really know how it got this problem.}
