About Jasper

I am a manager (expatriate rentals) of Asia USA Realty, to manage schedules and to provide free house-hunting services for expatriates relocating from the USA, Europe, China, HK, Taiwan, and SE Asian countries. I can speak English, Mandarin and Cantonese fluently.

I was awarded the Master of Business Administrations (MBA) degree offered by the Edinburgh Business School of the Heriot-Watt University (UK). Apart from the MBA, I also obtained the Graduate Diploma in Marketing offered by the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) of UK. In accrediting my professional experience in marketing, a Full Member status (MCIM) had been granted by the CIM.

I relocated to Singapore with my husband from Hongkong a few years ago. Being an expatriate, I have a lot of experience in dealing with agents and owners to looking for an ideal accommodation for myself in Singapore. Tips for expatriates

It will be better if you can decide and state clearly to the agent your requirements on the accommodation you are looking for, before start viewing any unit. For example:

Category of accommodation - Condo, apartment, bungalow, or semi-detached house;

Your budget range;

For condo, any main facilities you want to have, e.g. swimming pool? Or you need full facilities?

For house, do you need a pool? How many storeys you want to have?

Do you prefer a new apartment or condo?

Most of the new apartments or condos will be smaller in size compared with those old properties. However, they almost have full and pretty good facilities.

Those old properties will be much bigger in size and can be expected for cheaper rental.
