FOR THE BAYSHORE CONDO WITH UNBLOCKED SEA VIEWS  3
years ago, The Bayshore Condos were the rage of a
boom. Owners pay a premium of $70,000 for units, across a
vacant piece of land providing unblocked sea and ship views.
Now, Costa del Sol condos of around 30-storeys high (white building in
picture) are being built, affecting rentability of sea fronting units.3 years ago, a young American Indian expat came to set up an office dealing with software for the Asia Pacific Region. He saw many units in The Bayshore. Owners asked and got $3,000 rent for a 2-bedroom. He fell in love with the Tower 2A .....- 01 unit, above 20th floor. It has a walled balcony. Small and useless for any al fresco breakfast. But the realtor told him it was sufficient to serenade the ladies under the starlight and sea breezes. The aircraft will be flying upwards to far away destinations. The business expanded considerably under one person. The lease was renewed for a year after the first 2 years. Tower 2A ....-01 units above 15th floor command a sea and bountiful green tree views along the flight path of aeroplanes. It is unlikely that the green sanctuary will be developed. Therefore, the nature and sea views remained unblocked in 2002 although Costa del Sol condos are almost completed. Unfortunately, the Owners would not renew the 4th year of lease as the Hongkong owner and the Singaporean wife were in divorce proceedings. Hence the need to relocate. Expats with good views should take a 2-year lease as there is always the diplomatic clause for the company to break lease.  The
Tower 2A unit brought back fond memories for this single expat.
