characteristic - sufficient space for barbecue

Most Caucasians just fall in love with this
balcony especially if combined with sparkling
green river frontage, creating a romantic water
tropical resort ambience. Most brand new condos have very small balconies,
if any.
- Wide selection of
1, 2, 3 and 4 bedroom types & penthouse units
with 20 different interior layout designs. Floor
areas range from 850 sq. ft (studio) to 6,114 sq.
ft (penthouse).
- Rated by most
caucasians as the premier East Coast condo to
live in. It "knocks your socks off"
said one American from a telecommunications
company.
- High quality of
the interior finishes, the stainless steel
kitchen appliances, bathroom accessories seldom
seen in other brand new condos.
- Downtown Aspen
Heights Condo and the Costa Rhu Condo have good
finishes, but the Pebble Bay still has the best
flooring material of solid dark brown wooden
strips.
- Large expatriate
community with many Caucasian children.
- Two attractive assets attracting
Caucasians - the golf driving range and two squash courts.
Pebble Bay is almost 90% occupied at most times in 2001.

Disadvantages:
- One bus service
(10-15 minute frequency) to the Kallang subway in 20 minutes.
There is a shuttle bus to downtown Suntec city
and Raffles Place now. Many Caucasian expats consider the
Singapore taxi services relatively inexpensive and seldom take the
ordinary bus to the Kallang subway!
- Units facing the
Tanjong Rhu Road will have view of construction of new condos and sea
views for the higher floors. .
- Not near
supermarkets, but a suspension bridge links
Pebble Bay to the Indoor Stadium's shopping mall and a new
eatery beside the suspension bridge. Pebble Bay has its own mini-mart.
- Rents are
relatively higher as demand is great. Suits
expatriates working in Suntec City, especially
bankers. Some expats complain that it is not so convenient
as living in Orchard Road area as it may be difficult to catch
taxis on rainy days and during peak hours.
- High density
living of 510 units may not appeal to some expats.
- Some young
Caucasian expats think that this location is too far from the
centre of action at Orchard Road or Mohammed Sultan or Clarke Quay
pubs!
