Near shops and activity like Holland Village or downtown.
Holland Village, Balmoral, downtown area. Low
density.
Viewing on 18 May 2001
2.30pm Gentle Villas semi-detached 5+1 $5,000.
No condo facilities. Novena Square subway & shopping mall and
cafes in a 5-min walk.
2.45pm Chancery Grove townhouses $5,500. Has communal pool.
Bus to Orchard subway. Considered too many levels.
33 units. Low density.
3.10pm Tanglin Regency. 3+1 1292 sq. ft $4,000. Has a balcony.
High floor. High ceiling. Low density. Small kitchen. Pool,
tennis court, gym.
3.30pm Kim Yam Heights maisonette 3+1 1800 sq. ft $4,800. Has
unblocked views, seeing River Place condos in the background.
Bright. No balconies. High floor. Pool, tennis court, gym.
Low density.
3.45pm UE Square 3+1 1600 sq. ft $4,500. Facing courtyard.
Disliked the "office" facade. Close to Clarke Quay and
supermarkets. Bus shuttle to City Hall subway. Full condo
facilities including squash court.
4pm Claremont 3+1 1453 sq. ft $4,500 fully furnished. Has
a good looking residential facade. Dining area is bright, being
next to the balcony. One year old. 5-min walk to Somerset subway
and Centrepoint shops. Good floor plan. Little road
traffic noise. Small pool and small gym but great
location. -06 series with curved living area makes
apartment look bigger.
Conclusion: Kim Yam Heights & Claremont are interesting
prospects. More closet spaces needed for the wife.

2.15pm Jervois Jade 3+1 1496 sq. ft $4,200. Close to
downtown. Disliked the factory surroundings.
2.45pm Holland Peak 4+1 1800 sq. ft $4,500.
Near Holland Village and Botanic Gardens. 4th floor with
greenery views on the balcony and in master bedrooms.
Kitchen cabinets "dated.", i.e. not brand new. Condo
is over 6 years old.
3pm Palm Spring 4+1 1873 sq. ft $6,000. Caucasian enclave.
Resort ambience. 10-minute walk to the main road for
public transport.
3.05pm The Clayton 3+1 1800 sq. ft. $4,500. Near
construction. 10 units. Pool and car park. Lots of closet
spaces and big room..
3.30pm Belle Vue 3+1 2300 sq. ft $4,500, $6,500 (renovated),
$5,000 (ground floor). Not facing construction. 5-min walk to
subway and Orchard Road. Considered too old, being over 15
years old.
4pm Yong Ann Park 3+1 2260 sq. ft $4,500. Considered
dated. Big balcony and separate living and dining areas.
4.10pm Yong Ann Park 4+1 2100 sq. ft $4,500.
4.30pm Valley Park 3+1 1700 sq. ft $5,500 fully furnished.
