"Luncheon
meat will cause cancer as it is preserved by nitrites," said Daddy.
"So, no luncheon meat in the fried rice,"
The two sons just love fried rice with luncheon meat and eggs. They
dislike the peas and therefore no peas were added.
"No ox-tail soup, as there is the mad cow's disease and the pions in
the spinal cord of the tail may get into your brains," said the
Daddy.
"Does that mean the end of pepper steak?" asked the elder son.
"Red meat is said to cause cancer of the colon and steak is red
meat," replied the Daddy.
The younger son was spreading peanut butter on his bread. Dad said:
"Alfaxtoxins from the peanuts may damage your liver and may cause
liver cancer."
So no more peanut butter for bread.
Fried chickens had to go too as the elder boy becomes obese.
"What should we cook for dinner?
Should we just eat vegetables and rice?" grumbled the Mummy.

In the end, food usually
consists of potatoes, vegetables, eggs and fried chicken. Maybe some
water cress soup with pork meat.
What a boring dinner to look forward to.
Nobody in the family has cancer. Nobody smokes, therefore no lung
cancer. Nobody has colon cancer. So what's the concern?
Cancer only happens to other people and to old folks.
Mum still buys the luncheon meat, the ox tail soup and the beef.
"So many dietary restrictions," she protested.
Whatever cancer preventive measures Daddy has proposed, are just swept
away by the home maker Mum. She can't see any harm in occasionally
indulging in luncheon meat, let alone ox-tail soup. So far, nobody has
cancer, so let's enjoy our food. It only happens to others.
"Be healthy"
