How to introduce new Koi into the pond? | |

 Upon successfully selected your Koi, the Koi will be put into a plastic bag containing a little water and oxygen. The ratio of water against oxygen should at least 1:5. The plastic bag is usually long in design and should be placed horizontally. They must be carried quickly and safely to the place you intent top keep them. It is highly recommended that you tranquilized the fish so that they are not shocked in transport. Before putting your new fish into the pond, float the unopened plastic bag on the pond surface for about 30 minutes. This is to prevent shocking the fish with different temperature. When the temperatures of the water inside the bag and the pond have equalized, open the bag and lift the fish gently out of the bag into the pond. Try not to put the water from the bag into the pond.
